WHAT INSPIRES
For me, finding inspiration is as easy as looking at my surroundings. I see art everywhere and I seek to find beauty, even in the ugly. Patterns that create rhythm and movement, color expression, shape and form found in both positive and negative space, are just some of the elements that inspire me to find new ways of communicating. Like the work of David Carson, Paula Scher, and Paul Rand, I find elegance in the use of typography placed over a montage of photographic elements, strong graphic images, or painted backgrounds. The final product is like an adrenaline rush.

The process of graphic design inspires me. From the idea, to the exploration of sketches on paper, to the computer implementation, and the final communication – all the sum of the parts coming together as a whole. Thought and creativity evolving into something beautiful or even chaotic is uplifting.

Though self-expression is an integral part of any artist’s work, a good design must articulate my client’s vision and engage their target audience, provoking an emotional response that makes a connection. Finding that balance is essential.
what's the buzz
"Renee always goes 'above and beyond' for me. I've had many of my book covers designed, created and poduced by her and love them all. Not only has she created book covers, but -- postcards, ebook covers and print book covers in multiple formats. Renee's work is always excellent, on time and convey the ideas I see in my head. I would highly recommend her for any of your design or digital needs."
